Kisses

Ellie has never really been a physically affectionate little girl. It's not that she doesn't show us she loves us, she does, just not in a slobbery kind of way.
She has gotten the idea that kisses make things feel better though. She asks for kisses on minor boo-boos and even kisses the giant bruise on my leg every time she sees it.
Tonight, we were eating dinner at a Mexican food restaurant and she dipped a tortilla chip into the salsa and took a bite. Without missing a beat she calmly turned to me, said 'mama kiss' and puckered up. After a kiss she continued to eat more spicy food and repeated the kissing scene a couple of times!
(At age 20.5 months she is still an angel at restaurants. Luckily for us as we've only left her with a babysitter once!)
She also has figured out that kissing me earns her brownie points and will give me kisses when she is trying to fight sleep. It's so hard to play possum when she's bestowing such love on me!
