Austin, Kingland, Glen Rose

That's right folks, 3 cities, 6 days, untold tears!
We ventured to Austin to spend time with the Hemingsons and Fair, Kennedy, Alissa, and Zonk. It was much fun but we wore ourselves out. Ellie doesn't like to sleep in strange beds or in the car. Which makes it difficult for Mama to sleep. Mama and baby without sleep make for a pair of grouch-muffins!
But, it was worth it to spend time with some of our favorite people. Ellie continues to adore Nana and Papa and her twin cousins. Grant and Paige are her idols! Mama loves the way Kent and Carol take such good care of us.
It was also wonderful to spend time with other adults, especially such cool ones!
We spent a couple of nights at Todd and Shelly's lakehouse and relaxed a bit. Of course, Ellie pulled her usual "make Mama panic in the middle of the night in an unfamiliar city" routine when she woke up with a croup-like cough.
Luckily nothing serious came of it, but we headed back home and now have irritating colds.
Ellie's cute toddler-ism of the moment is declaring "to-night" when she sees two of something. She refused to do it for show when we were in austin, but she's back at it!
She's getting a little picky too. Yesterday we wanted to go to the park and told Ellie we were going to get in the car to go. She said, "No car, Ellie stroller." Now, that is nothing new, she's been doing that for some time. However, this time she explained that she, "Ellie blue step park" which translates to, "I want to go to the park with the blue steps, and we take the stroller to that park!"
Silly girl, it is sooo neat to watch her grow up!!
