Teeth!

If you look close you can see Ellie's teeth in the first photo! We decided that a little girl with teeth deserved to have a little bit of food on Thanksgiving and gave Ellie a taste of sweet potatoes with dinner. She had just finished a marathon nursing nap so she wasn't very hungry though. She was pretty excited about the first taste, ambivalent about the second, and didn't want anything to do with the third. We'll probably wait another week or two before we try solids again.
Mommy and Daddy are fighting a slight cold with sore throats and we think Ellie might be feeling it a little too. Either that or more teeth are on their way!
Whenever Ellie is tired when she gets really sensitive about being set down and she randomly lets out a sad high pitched scream. If she's with me (Mommy) she buries her head into my chest as she rubs her eyes, especially as we walk into her room (where I nurse her to sleep in her glider.) It makes it really easy to know when to put her down for a nap, but not very easy to arrange the day around.
I don't say it enough but Elliette and I are sooo incredibly lucky to have Tate as the main man in our lives! How many Dads are really even close to being the primary care giver? Tate always clips Ellie's nails, he changes as many diapers as I do, he can rock her to sleep almost as well as I can, he gives her most of her baths, he takes most of the pictures of Ellie, and much much more. All this while working on his PhD and applying to law schools. His 30th birthday is coming up too, how do we show him just how much we love him???
