grammer overgeneralizations and dance camp

Currently Ellie is saying amn't for am not and willn't for will not. It is just too cute and funny!
A few weeks ago her gymnastics teacher upgraded the Mom and Tots class she is in to a child-only class and she has done great! Many of the other kids were too distracted by their Mommies so they are doing better at paying attention and such. Ellie's demeanor didn't change a bit, though.
I signed her up for a ballet camp that her little friend Millie was going to be in. It was for kids 3-5 and Ellie was by far the littlest one in ther (they made an exception sincer her birthday was so close!) and she did great!!!
She went 4 days from 9-12. It was nice to have some time to myself and Ellie enjoyed the socialization. It was bittersweet, though, as she seems to be growing up so fast! I had dreams of her not needing me all week. She came home with a few funny questions, like why one of her friends had to sit in the corner for calling another girl names. She didn't understand that the girl called her friend a 'bad' name! Also, despite all the other girls wearing leotards, Ellie wanted to wear t-shirts and pants, just like her teacher! She packed the same snacks every day and asked for a juice box with her snacks because ' all ' the other girls had juice (rather than water)! Oh, it is just the beginning! What fun we have in store!!!
There is so much more and I am loving any minute. She really seems to have grown up in the last couple of months and a tiny part of me is mourning the little baby girl that I love with all my heart. The new 'big' girl that is taking her place is just blowing me away with her kindness, intelligence, and inquisitive mind and I love her with every ounce of my being!
