Brett Favre for President - or not

Go Packers!!! We're watching the Packers game and Ellie is fast asleep. Poor girl, some days she can't quite make it to her 7pm bedtime! She's a little pooped because she is working on 2 new teeth. The top front two are both poking through, and have made for a few restless nights. Nothing compared to a few weeks ago though. We're still not sleeping through the nights or anything, but nighttime is no longer a huge struggle. (Knock on wood!)
Anyway, we're really hoping the Packers will make it to (and win at) the Super Bowl. It is such an experience to be in Wisconsin rooting for the home team. It is much more similar to the feeling of a Longhorn game day in Austin than a professional team. There are Packers vanity plates on a surprising number of cars, the news leads with Packer updates, follows with Packer fan stories, the neighborhood stores are selling 'Favre for President' buttons, and even the kiddos are sporting Green and Yellow. How can you not get caught up in it. Can't say I'd brave the cold even if tickets fell into my lap though!

The big news around here is Ellie is starting to try to crawl. She's not too successful yet, but we've seen forward motion of a few inches at a time. WOW!! Hello world, here comes Elliette!!! Looks like we got our new camcorder just in time!
Update - Packers lost, we're bummed, but life will go on for us. Don't know how the fans are doing though. Today will be a somber day in Wisconsin. Also, shouldn't have written about Ellie sleeping better, last night was a rough one . . . woke up around 2am and didn't go back to sleep until 3:30am. She does know that it is nighttime though and only whispers. It would be so sweet if I wasn't so tired!
