Our house used to be our pride and joy. We (with lots of help from Kent and Carol) have spent countless hours renovating it and making it our own. We've gutted rooms, steamed off old wall-paper, mulled over paint chips, dry-walled, insulated, re-wired, ripped up old carpet, you name it, we've done it. It is our first house and we loved it. We swore that having a child would not come between us and our love for our quaint old house.
Well, let's just say that now we're totally ready to abandon it for a newer model. I'll happily trade uniqueness for walk-in closets, our central location for a second bathroom, our beautiful maple hardwoods for something that doesn't squeek (OK that one might be a toss-up) and our basement for a ranch style with everything located on one level. Who knew a house could shrink?

aahhh...you are experiencing one of the many moments of parentdome when the realities of life reach up and give you a little slap on the face. Just keep in mind, bigger house means more to clean.....hang in there. :)
Your house is so charming! You have worked hard on the tons of improvements, and all your unique touches make is a very special house. All that work will pay off down the road when you will all be ready to move to a new home. In the meantime, enjoy that fact that you are never far away from your precious daughter!
Love,
Grammy and Grandpa
